Corowa High School is incredibly proud to congratulate Ellen Lavis on her selection as an ANZAC Ambassador for 2018.
Ellen is one of only six New South Wales students who have been selected to embark on a 10 day European tour of historical battlefields, visiting sites including Athens, Lemnos, Villers-Bretonneux, Passchendaele and London.
Ellen's trip began on Sunday 28 October, as she departed Australia with a her fellow Ambassadors and a delegation of NSW Parliamentarians, including NSW Minister for Veterans Affairs, The Hon. David Elliot MP. The tour have already visited many sites including London, Tyne Cot, Villers Bretonneux, Ypres and Paris.
Ellen's inclusion in the NSW ANZAC Ambassadors program is the result of her written submission to the importance of the centenary of ANZAC for modern Australia.
Ellen was interviewed by Win News and ABC Radio Victoria, providing information on her selection into the program, her motives and her expectations for the trip.
